Your IP Address: An Internet Protocol (IP)
address is a number automatically
assigned to user’s computer by user’s
Internet Service Provider (ISP) to allow
user to access the Internet. When user
uses the PURPLE COW, the PLATFORM logs
user’s current IP address and uses it to
define load issues, help diagnose
access/reliability problems, and to
administer the PLATFORM. WE do not link
user’s IP address to any personally
identifiable information, so user’s
session will be tracked, but user will
remain anonymous.
Cookies: "Cookies" are pieces of
information that is stored on user’s
computer's hard drive. Cookies enable
the PURPLE COW to quickly determine the
date of user’s last visit and to create
a more personalized experience. Most
browsers are set up to accept cookies,
but user can change the browser settings
to refuse them. The PURPLE COW never
uses cookies to retrieve personal
information about user from user’s
computer. This policy, however, does not
cover, condone, or take responsibility
for the use of cookies by any of the
LINKS that may from time to time be
displayed on or in the PURPLE COW (see
also
External Links).
Email Communications: When user registers with the PURPLE COW, only user’s first
name and valid email address are
required so WE can successfully deliver
email notifications to user. User will
also, on a timely basis, have the option
of answering surveys to provide
additional information at user’s
discretion about interests, preferences,
and non-specific demographics so WE are
able to more accurately tailor offerings
to all users.
User may "opt out" of receiving email
from the PURPLE COW at any time simply
by clicking on the “Unsubscribe” link at
the bottom of any email user receives
from the PURPLE COW. User may also have
user’s email address removed from all
email processing functions within the
PURPLE COW by sending an email with
"Unsubscribe" in the Subject field to
unsubscribe@purplecowproductionz.com.
Public Forums: The PURPLE COW makes forums and
other similar services available to its
users. User should remember that any
information disclosed in these areas
becomes public information, so user
should always exercise extreme caution
before deciding to disclose any personal
information.
Non-Specific Aggregate Information: The PURPLE COW may occasionally
share aggregate data about users,
traffic patterns, sales, and other
PURPLE COW information with partners,
vendors, and other reputable third
parties. This data, however, does not
contain any
Specific Personal Information. WE
will never disclose user purchases, but
WE might share statistics about the
percentage of users (in general) that
purchased specific products, without
identifying who those users are.
Specific Personal Information:
Under no circumstances will WE, the
PURPLE COW, or any member of the
ALLIANCE ever sell, trade, rent, or
release any personal information to any
third party.
Law Enforcement Access:
WE maintain limited amounts of information about a user which
has been submitted by the user for the
express purpose of receiving email
communications from the PURPLE COW, or
for purchasing a product, but WE will
only disclose that information when
required to:
1) Conform to the edicts of the
law or comply with a legal process
(subpoena) served on US or the PURPLE
COW;
2) Protect and defend OUR
rights or property, the rights or
property of the PURPLE COW, or the users
of the PURPLE COW;
3) Act under exigent circumstances
to protect the personal safety of users
of the PURPLE COW or the public in
general.
